Are the Dutch Bros baristas where you are overly friendly? The ones around here always come off as if they are pandering and it drives me insane. I have other coffee shops I go to where the baristas are friendly but you can tell they genuinely care and aren't just 'fitting into the culture'... I dunno... maybe I overanalyze

Very different from my local place where the baristas and I know each other by name now, and they remember my usual.

CandorLush
I switched Dunkin's when the one I was going to started getting too friendly. I clearly haven't had my coffee yet, chill out. Now I order through the app and don't even have to talk to anyone, just walk in and grab it off the counter haha
rodger.
I gave up take out coffee about a year ago. Here the favourite is Tim Hortons, but to be honest, i far prefer another brand (coffee culture). Besides the ridiculous cost (2 bucks) for a cup of coffee, the waiting was getting insane. So, now I make a pot at home (which is better than commercial) and take a thermos to work and a mug for the car ride. Once you find a nice bean, grinding it fresh is the way to go. Between me and my wife, we prob save about 80 bucks a month avoiding take out coffee (and mine is better!).
Coop
Finally there will be money for a new Powermatic TS and the Festool Domino. I'm betting $1k on Houston against New England at 10:1 odds. I think I'll wait until Sunday to order it in case there 's some unforeseen glitch.

Unless the Patriots all miss the bus from the team hotel, Houston will have a hard time covering, never mind winning the game. I dislike NE, but I have no faith in Osweiler.
Coop
I know it's a wild shot. Actually my money is on the spread, but this town would be ecstatic if they could pull off the win!
CandorLush
10:1 against a 13.5 spread with the game in FB? That's a whole lot of faith.... buttttttt my team is watching from home too so....

wdwerker
My guess is the maple shrunk as it acclimated to your home. Dowels are end grain/long grain which doesn't change much. If they are still proud after another 6 months re-sanding them flush should be a final solution. Or make up some story that they are a feature !

We park our shoes under it. I decided to look it over this morning and see how it's holding up. Every single dowel is sticking up a little, other than that it seems ok. I wonder if they'll be flush again when summer rolls around or maybe the maple was a holding a little water weight? Is the piece close to a heat vent? Im wondering if the pegs became glue starved upon assembly. Can you pound ("tap") those back in flush? -Ace-
davewyo
Is there a heat register or radiator right near this bench? I have a desk with a register blowing from directly underneath which has "shrinkage" issues. Also the photos seem to show that the wood is unfinished. If so, it shouldn't be a big deal to chisel, sand, and finish.
Popular Post wtnhighlander
It's a conspriacy! A conspiracy, I tell you! So, I have to replace the shower faucet in my master bath, because of a cracked pvc pipe. The valve body has pvc threaded adapters which were cemented into place, so the whole thing has to be cut free, and replaced. No biggie, right? I carefully drew a diagram of all the parts I would need for the job. At lunch, I went to Lowes to pick them up. I purchased the exact match to the existing faucet, same brand, just newer. I purchased the pvc to metallic male threaded adapters for the inlet and outlet pioes, so they wouldn't need to be cemented in. I remembered the pvc glue. I remembered the drywall patch to fix the access hole. I remembered teflon tape. I got home from work about 6 pm, walked the dog, and started on the repair. I used a flush-trim saw to cut the old faucet loose. I opened the new faucet, ready to install it, only to find that some plumbing engineer had decided to change the inket & outlet connections from female threads that were in the old faucet, to male threads. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!?!?!???!? This reinforces my theory that there is a conspiracy between the home centers and plumbing manufacturers, to force customers to make AT LEAST two trips into the store for any DIY plumbing repair.
Coop
I think we've all been there, some form, shape or fashion! Still don't mean it doesn't just piss you off! Back to Lowes! Good luck bud!
