Think ceramic handplane or other will ever hit the market? I dunno, Carus. I'm thinking a ceramic plane iron would be very limiting. Think of all the ways we customize our planes by changing the bevel angle, radius corners, etc... Can't do any of that with ceramic, can you? Of course finally finding a bit that I was confident would work helped. I used the 3/4" bit and it cut awesome and left no blowout under the top. https://www.lowes.com/pd/WoodOwl-6-Piece-Brad-Point-Bit-Set/4561770 Review of these bits here. http://benchblog.com/tool-reviews/tool-review-woodowl-overdrive-bits/ I decided to put another coat of Danish oil on the top and around the top edges of the dog holes.
