freedhardwoods Posted March 30, 2018 Author Report Share Posted March 30, 2018 I bought almost a semi load of "reject" 2 x lumber a few years ago for $500. 3/4 of it is treated lumber. freedhardwoods Posted March 31, 2018 Author Report Share Posted March 31, 2018 Made some progress today. I got a call to work so I lost about 3 1/2 hours of cleanup time. I had been saving more cans and plastic containers in a pile for my storage system. I didn't realize I had so many. The entire floor under the shelves is cans and containers. I think I'll stop saving them back for a while. I found my spring clamps under one of the piles of stuff. I was wondering where they were. FAS on one side with a little too much wane to meet the lam pole standards. I never knew yellow plastic tastes better than blue. Almost every lid was chewed on, but the blue container wasn't touched. That Stax can reminded me of walking into the pantry one morning in the dark shortly after we moved here to get coffee. Gritty sharp stuff on my bare feet. I turned on the light and there was red plastic dust scattered all over the floor. Mice got into the JIF by chewing through the lid. freedhardwoods Posted April 1, 2018 Author Report Share Posted April 1, 2018 When I was setting up the dust system for the "wood" side of my shop, I ordered 50' of 2 1/2", 50' of 4", and 10' of 6" good quality hose. while cleaning up, I found a box (50'?) of lower quality 2 1/2" hose. The top shelf in the first pic is 2 1/2", 3", 4", and 6" hose and connectors and the 3" blower on the left. I have a 34' x 48' shop and don't have enough room. I'm all for using cans and plastic jars for storage and anything that works that's free. I don't no how the guys do it with a small shop also. My shop will stay a mess for a while or maybe 4 ever. It's unused right now, but this side of the shop is where I pull vehicles in to work on them. Lots of vehicle parts and tools in these pics. freedhardwoods Posted April 8, 2018 Author Report Share Posted April 8, 2018 Did some work on the "wood" side of the shop today. Added some short and long board storage under the chop saw. Doubled the sawdust capacity under the cyclone. Dug out my old Craftsman TS and put on a Shop Fox fence I had on a shelf. Had to drill new mounting holes and fix the broken handle to make it usable. I wasn't using the shop much for a long time and that's when I tend to let things pile up. Hopefully, when I'm in the shop more, I'll keep things cleaned up as I go. We'll see.
