Coop
Guys, I just spoke with @Brendon_t via text. He is currently watching these fires burn some 2,000 yards from his home. He and his family currently have their bags and pets packed, ready to move out, should the winds change. Please join me in wishing he and his family and property the best. Hey bud, our thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

Tom King
Amen to that. Anyone know a weather forecast that has wind direction for there? If the wind didn't change direction since last night, maybe it has passed on by now. edited to add: I found this, but don't know where to look https://projects.sfchronicle.com/2018/fire-tracker/
..Kev
I'm sure this is the last place on his mind right now but, I do hope he drops in and gives us an update.. Keep the family safe!
Tom King
I expect he doesn't want his address public, but does anyone know the city name?
Coop
I just texted him but have not heard back. Last night, he said his neighboring bosses house was completely in ashes.
Popular Post Brendon_t
Good morning guys. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Internet and cell service are not reliable right now but we're safe. Winds from last night to now have been helpful for me. A lot of people woke up with homes yesterday and are waking up without them today. Go hug your family.
Tom King
Glad to hear it! It's a bad day when total destruction, or not depends on which way the wind blows.

wdwerker
Glad you are safe ! I hope your tools and wood are documented/ listed if the worst should happen. Hell I think I would video the entire contents of the house given enough time.
Chet
I have the whole state in my prayers and thoughts. In Northern California the whole town of Paradise is gone, 6400 buildings. I am 150 miles from that fire and the smoke is so bad that you can smell it in the house with the house closed up. I can't even imagine having to deal with what all these folks are dealing with. The smoke filtered sun this morning outside my house.
JohnG
Sending my thoughts and prayers. Scary stuff. My brother-in-law and his sister were living in Paradise. They had enough time to grab a few clothes, the laptops, and their dogs, but that’s about it. They are sure the house is gone.
Bankstick
Brandon, glad you and yours are OK. My wife said that there are 25 fatalities so far. I have a close friend who retired from the USFS. Up until a couple of years ago, he was still on stand-by to assist with emergencies as fires. Now he is off that call list. He said it is amazing how fast a fire can travel with high winds. A billboard on I-75 states embers can be carried up to a mile.

Tpt life
I am loosely connected to seven of those houses. Trying to sort through how to help.

Brendon_t
It just don't stop. Watched the fires this weekend move beside and away from us, today at 10Am a new fire started at the northwest tip of town with Southeast winds. . First Responders Were ON IT and had it contained within two hours. No structures lost but this is from my best friends back patio
