Popular Post Ronn W
Now that the shop is relatively clean and I am between projects, I thought I would share my space with you all. The ugly thing in the fore ground is an old kitchen base cabinet on wheels. It is usually in the way but come in handy for finishing and misc storage Jointer is on blocks so that long pieces don't hit the table saw. Drum sander is on wheels. Spindle sander stored under workbench. Empty wood racks, gotta restock. Sharpening station, small block of granite for stone flattening Easy to reach blast gates for table saw and router That's about it. This is where I love to spend my time. Glad I could share.
Chestnut
Nice looking shop. It seems like you have it well set up and are using your space efficiently. Do you ever run into trouble with your table saw being up against the wall like that? Maybe it's just my space but i used that side of my saw often. Well after i roll it around some on my mobile base.

But I though about that a lot when I was first laying out the shop on paper.

davestanton
I love shop tours and how people max their space for their own needs. Thanks for sharing!
gee-dub
It seems I always get ideas when seeing other people's shops. We all tend to do things to make our available space better suit our needs. That's a great looking place to get creative.

The stool as in the pic is the right height for the scroll saw. If I take the top part off, it is the right height for the work bench. On 8/29/2016 at 9:07 AM, Woodenskye said: Very nice shop Ron! Thanks, the dust collection was the biggest consideration in the location of the power tools. DC is only 1 3/4 HP so I had to keep the distance to a minimum. An overhead main with branches would never have worked

Coop
Very well done bud. But overly clean and organized for my taste, but I could have it cluttered and ready to go in a half a day.

I have 1 3/4 hp and I ran everything over head and don't have a problem. I am sure I would be happier with a bigger DC. but I don't have to sweep the floors to much.
