Janello
A lock on the door. Keeps the kids and wife out! Kidding of course. I just couldn't think of anything better. Oh wait....Beer fridge!

pghmyn
I have to go with the classic table saw answer. Although, that might change to heater once I get my shop out of the heated basement and into the garage.
..Kev
Heat by far.. Without that, I would be limited to warmer months do to what I enjoy.
Mzdadoc
Had the garage heated when I built the house and a floor drain. (Melting snow) I'm going to sound mushy here but it's the support of my wife. Cost me nothing but love but without whom I couldn't do it. Ok the table saw! LOL

dlgWoodWork
Insulation, which I just put in this weekend. Without it I couldn't work much out there in winter. I have a heater, but it would be too expensive to run much without the new insulation.

ColinF
A 14" bandsaw! Quite the upgrade from a 9" bench top model.
Freddie
My $400 monthly payment on my shop in my parents house. It keeps one thing clear, nothing goes into the shop to be stored that isn't mine. I would go nuts if every time I walked out there and saw crap thrown around and put into storage in any available nook and cranny. It's not my house but it's my garage.
davewyo
Well it's not exactly the most important, nor did I buy it, but here is an addition to my shop which is very helpful. It's a maid's cart like you see being used at hotels and such. If you have a roomy shop it makes for a great mobile tool station. http://

duckkisser
Makes a great door stop not using it till I get insulation in place and sadly I haven't had a chance to mess with the garage yet.
