I think we are talking about feed rollers. The cutterhead and feed rollers all run off the same power train. If you raise the head and look at the rollers are they actually not turning? This would indicate a chain drive failure perhaps? If they are turning then the waxing maintenance (that cures so many ills for these machines) would be my next test. -

Are you certain the rollers are siezed? Or are they just not pulling the stock? Clean rollers and a waxed bed could help a lot, if it is just not pulling. -
@Mark J - Good catch! I actually added a longer triangle to one of the blanks as I noticed the triangle was going to get destroyed. Even though it ended up as only a partial after the operation, as long as there is enough to match up, I'm good. As to taking a 14* bevel, 1" long, at the router table as a crosscut . . . IMHO the 3HP tablesaw does a better job. At a shaper? Heck yeah! There are some cuts where raw horsepower really makes a difference. I love my 2HP bandsaws but, if there was a way to easily upgrade them to 4HP+ I would do it in a heartbeat . Sorry . .. I digress into horsepower envy. In a previous life I was in sound reinforcement. I can guarantee you that 500 watts per channel (although staggering in your living room) is nothing like 100,000 watts per channel in an amphitheater . Another situation where technology is wonderful but, raw horsepower is something else . . . think muscle car .

Aside from inspecting for foreign objects causing an obstruction, or other obvious problems, all I can offer is this: i had that planer for 10 years, ran it constantly, and wore the rollers clean out. So i ordered replacement rollers and swapping them out was pretty simple. Sorry I know that doesn't exactly answer your question. -

I have a dewalt planer that appears to have seized rollers I checked the sprockets and they seem fine. Any other suggestions before I tear into the machine and get the rollers lubed?
