Woodenskye
I will add a few more CHiPS, the A-Team, TJ Hooker, Air Wolf, NCIS, Criminal Minds and Suits. At first I didn't like Big Bang, but do now.
Popular Post collinb
I've seen them all and there is but one: I Love Lucy, esp. the early years.

A sitcom is a half-hour comedy show on network television, usually filmed in front of a live audience or with a laugh-track. At least that's my definition.
Llama
My favorites are, in no particular order are Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, Big Bang Theory, Married with Children, 30 Rock, Roseanne and Home Improvement. If I were forced to choose a favorite, it would be a coin toss for Cheers, Frasier and 30 Rock.

sheperd80
Seinfeld, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family. Im suprised no Modern Family fans in here. Such a great show once you get used to some of the characters. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Guest
Seinfeld, Sanford and Son and I Love Lucy would be my top 3. I don't watch TV much anymore. I did like Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is basically Seinfeld 2.0. Bull & Finch was the model for Cheers. I lived in Boston in 2001/2002 and visited a couple times. There is (or was) a disney-esque Cheers replica in Fanieul Hall. I ate there as well, it was pretty good for Boston at the time. Compared to Chicago, SF or NY the dining scene in Boston sucked until about 2010. It is just a conservative, slow moving city. Its hard to even get a drink after 11pm. Chet
M.A.S.H, Hogans Heroes and the Honeymooners (Honeymooners must have been reruns - Lol)
Rapid Roger
There are so many good sit coms from the past that I can't pick just one but, no one mentioned "WKRP in Cincinnati" yet. "I swear to God I thought turkeys could fly!"

Immortan D
Seinfeld. Not precisely a sitcom, buy Sledge Hammer was fun.

Good amount of comedy and adult related humor, and Jennifer Aniston in her late 20s. What more could you want? I'll go back a bit further and go with The Honeymooners. My grandfather grew up with Jackie Gleason. I've never seen a single episode of Friends but did enjoy the honeymooners! I love lucy was good too! Boatworks Today
There are so many great shows listed here that I used to watch as a kid, but have forgotten! Now that Winter has finally hit for my area, I'm going to be referencing back on this thread for movie night and snow day suggestions!! ..Kev
I also forgot to mention Ba Ba Blacksheep and RAT Patrol.. Really dating myself now
Beechwood Chip
Another vote for Roseanne, but only because the Carol Burnett show was a variety show, not a sitcom. I can't remember any comedy show that made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe, other than Carol Burnett.
wtnhighlander
OK, hijacking the topic for a moment - Since the SW hype is all over right now, has anyone seen the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special? (search YT for it). It brings BAAAAAADDD tv to a whole new level.
Popular Post Keggers
I guess it's up to me to settle the score. The all time greatest sitcom was the Andy Griffith show. You just can't beat Barney Fife! Good clean funny!
Popular Post Rapid Roger
Dating myself again...Does anyone else remember "Alice"? I used to die laughing every time Flo said, "Mel, kiss my grits!"
TerryMcK
I almost forgot - as a kid I used to watch Bilko late on in the evening. Next day when I got home from school it would be Top Cat. Same show one live action the other a cartoon
ColinF
I'd have to say mash would be my favorite, I remember watching reruns with my dad when I was a little kid. I haven't heard anybody mention mamas family, that was a pretty funny show.
