Very handy, until you have to go 'behind the scenes'. I thought I was in good shape, watching my weight, exercising daily, etc... but my late 50s body did NOT like being contorted into the shapes needed for that job. Ten minutes, cross-legged in the floor, and I could barely walk! Getting older is almost as bad as plumbing. I had no idea. Our late 80’s house growing up had the double sink but not a triple. I’m late 30’s and skinny but at over 6’ and in a galley kitchen anything under the sink is not a pleasant experience either.
Chestnut
After high school sports my body probably feels 10 years older than it is. Ross you should feel lucky, I can't sit cross legged too many ligament injuries reduced my flexibility and makes it just painful.
Popular Post Ronn W
I watch my 8 year old grandaughter doing gymanstics and realize that I was never that flexible. Think I'll just shuffle back to my rocking chair. 1

Just curious do you have any ideas how you'd manage that? I don't like the look of inset doors with out a stile separating doors but a double kitchen sink is too wide for single doors. Pocket screw? Half blind dovetail? Brace behind with a screw through?
Popular Post tperson
Finally had a day to myself Saturday after I got my chores done and all I had to do was take the burn barrels to the dump and dump them. Started out easy enough, tractor started right up, weather was nice, then…time to do a little laundry (shorts anyway). I just backed out of the driveway and was spinning around in the road when the steering knuckle broke. The good news is that I was just over idle and barely moving…probably didn’t skid 6”. Coulda been worse. The biggest inconvenience was that my, now inoperable tractor, was SMACK in the middle of the road. I ended up powering down the loader, picking up the front end, chaining the axle to the loader bracket and skidding it to the shop on 3 wheels and dragging the bucket for front support. With the iron out of the road, time to go to the dump…$@*!, flat tire on the truck. Not how I was expecting to spend my Saturday morning, but the tractor is in front of the shop, parts are on order, and I still got ½ a day to work on the bedframe. 5

tperson
Amen Chestnut! How much did you end up with? I saw they were forecasting (guessing) 18-24 for MSP at one point.
Chestnut
Unfortunately only ~12" according to NWS spotters. Many untrained spotters claimed more but i'd bet they were just measuring snow drifts. I should note the 12" was over 2 nights. around 6" each night with 16 hours between each snowfall. I was excited for a big winter storm so it was disappointing to me. We're getting more rain today, wish it was snow. We've had so much rain this winter i don't want to know what the ice buildup under the snow is like.

What did you end up using for a stain and finsh on it?
Popular Post B1rdhunter
I've been plugging away at a little wardrobe out of QSWO this winter. Getting close to being ready for the final finish so I could use some warm weather. 7'6"x5'x2'
RichardA
I hope this is a stand alone unit. If it get's stuck in a corner, you're going to lose some of the shine and beauty of the wood. But looking good from South Central Tennessee. Popular Post Tom King
These Bronco Rough Terrain Scaffolding Stands are great. I couldn't even get to this little porch fascia off of a ladder. Yes, that one leg is on top of the heat pump unit. That job of getting the old paint off the fascia, and repainting was completed from setup to putting everything away in well less than an hour. Also another shot of an ugly stained Flexilla water hose. That plank is 14" wide and 12' long. The 14" width is noticeably nicer to stand on than a 12" one.
Popular Post GlennL
Continuing to work on my Pocket Hole machine. Needed to add a rough textured surface to the top to firmly hold the rails when being cut. Have to put a piece on the bottom of the disc on the air cylinder. I'll post a details thread once it's complete.
Popular Post Tom King
Rebuilt the old Y34 hydrant this morning. The other one I rebuilt a couple of weeks ago is a W34. 34 stands for 3/4". The Y version is a little fancier than the W but both work fine. They Y has a more complicated linkage that pulls the rod straight up, whereas the W puts a little side force on the replaceable brass rod that comes up through the seal. New they're: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008N3ITK4/?coliid=I1UE47MXJ6PMIK&colid=2P8GBP5SU4LS7&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it The rebuild kit is a lot less and it only took about a half hour of fighting with the old hydrant. This one was operating, but leaking so came apart pretty easily with a couple of large pipe wrenches. The W34 had been closed for decades, so I had to pull it apart with a tractor once the head was screwed loose from the shaft. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008B6H2MO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Coop
I can relate to that. After two weeks or so, there are still sounds of roofers nail guns and hammers every daylight hour in my neighborhood.
