Popular Post Tpt life
That was the Craig's List ad. It was roughly two hours away and twenty minutes since it was posted. I texted "Do you still have it?" He replied "Yes, but I am already fielding calls." I PM'd @Llama , "I can't even go look at it until the weekend." (The post hit late Sunday night.) Llama said "Offer $250?" I did, and picked it up today. Inspiration for Craig's List hagglers. All the trailers I usually borrow were occupied. I disassembled and transported in the family van. Now to pull a 220 circuit for this bad boy. I will need to perform some maintenance, but considering the cost I think it was a decent deal. jimbofoxman
Same one I have had for quite a few years. My only complaint is the belt slapping (some how) on the side when it first starts up. Haven't tried to fix it yet.
mat60
Great price....I also have the W1741 and the only thing I don't like about it is the small pices added to the bed just before and after the cutter head...I think they are aluminum .Not as slippery as steel and the belt does slap on start up but for what you paid I would love it... Tpt life
I noticed the belt issue on test startup. I am not in love with the tensioning. I am envisioning some longer bolts, angle iron, and threaded rod to allow better motor positioning. I may also try a cogged belt as the cutter head pulley diameter is on the small side. If I get the stuff I dream of made into a workable project I will journal the adaptations. @mat60, what do you use as a friction agent? I thought the mouth areas are stainless but will need to get home to confirm. I cannot imagine aluminum holding up with polish under friction and they are certainly brightly shiny. Janello
Nice, but it didn't come in a cool wooden box with an awesome rope handle, did it?!

I don't have the money for high end equipment .
Tpt life
Real critique only helps me understand the tool better. Don't apologize for anything. I take the critique best while riding the high?
