Popular Post Bulldog
I just recently completed my first woodworking project. I've made a couple outdoor tables with 2 x 4's and wood screws but I don't count those. I kind of jumped in with both feet and decided my first project would be my workbench. It's all finished but the finish, and I'm pretty proud of it.

The front laminate plus the leg chop is hard maple. I'm trying to use a spare bedroom as my hand tool shop. I'm still acquiring tools in general, but until I can afford to put AC in my 2 car garage...it's where my power tools will be. 2 hours ago, shaneymack said: Wow!! Nice bench and awesome tools ! Custom jointer and the skew block. I haven't used it yet, my Veritas honing guide just got delivered yesterday. 2 hours ago, TIODS said: Super nice job! I was going to do the guild build, but my friend already had a split top Roubo and he helped me out.

-MattK-
whoa! a first project is supposed to be a wonky bird house, not a first-rate workbench! Excellent work and welcome!

davewyo
Nice first time out. I'm guessing the "2x4 and screws" projects look a little better than the ones I made.

gee-dub
Great looking bench and you should be proud. I read about so many people going for so long with out this proper work holding, part making tool. You've made the bench your first effort and it will improve all your efforts to come. Congrats.
