I took your question as kidding and I apologize if that was a misinterpretation. By "shop furniture" I mean something functional for my garage workshop, in this case storage for a lot of small power tools. If I misinterpreted in some other way, I welcome clarification.
BillyJack
We just call them cabinets in the shop. We might call it the hardware cabinet. We don’t use the term “shop furniture” I just have a different shop background than most..
Popular Post legenddc
Was just eating breakfast at a hotel laughing as some old guys talked about how kids today are soft and how “I used to go hunting by myself at 8”, blah blah blah. I guess kids stopped being soft when they needed to ask one how to use the microwave. Also entertaining was the amount of granola bars they stole from breakfast. 1
Popular Post Chestnut
How does additional adult supervision make kids soft? Makes me feel bad for my parents generation honestly. My grandparents were so busy farming my parents had to be a lot more self sufficient. It's that same old "things were better back in my day" crap. If they went back in time 50 years, they'd quickly realize how much better we are off today. I'm glad my kids are growing up today vs even when i was growing up. I bet hazel will learn everything i learned a grade earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if she graduated high school with a solid grasp of calculus.

Since my daughter is 8 I know a lot of 8 year olds. There's more than a few I wouldn't trust to be safe with a plastic knife. They learn a lot, a lot earlier. In 2nd grade they started learning fractions. I don't think I learned that until 4th or 5th grade.

I'm not a hunter, but when I was 5, I drove tractor and trailer in the fields while Dad and the older sibs picked up the hay bales.
Chestnut
I think i was 28 the first time I went hunting alone. It's just more fun to go with people than alone. No fishing pretty sure i was fishing solo the first year i knew how to hold a rod.
Popular Post JohnG
Yeah, the “good ole days” back when kids were supposed to be “seen but not heard” right? Got pissed off recently when we had relatives scoff at the fact we asked our son what he wanted to eat for dinner on his birthday. “When did we start asking kids what they want to eat? When I was a kid there would be a plate of food in front of me and that was it. I couldn’t leave the table until the plate was clean. I think our nutrition was much better back then.” So I said, “yeah, and how about the massive number of people that grew up under that and are now obese and/or have other unhealthy relationships with food because they never learned to not eat when they weren’t hungry or stop eating when they got full? Plus, we are teaching our children to make good decisions and you’ll notice that he actually picked a pretty nutritious meal.” No response.
Von
Well, this was annoying and new to me. Had seven ball bearings total come out of two guides. They popped back in easily enough. Guess I was a little rough? Or maybe they were not seated well on arrival?

Von
Insulator, you had one job... Debugging bad smell from our espresso machine. One of the connection insulators for the heating element (lower right) decided to not insulate allowing arcing to the top of the machine. Not enough current to trip the GFCI. Good argument for arc fault detector. 1
Chestnut
Man if my 12 month daughter could talk and you asked her what she wanted for a meal, she'd tell you Avocado, salmon, green beans and watermelon, and a good pile of any kind of cheese, goat cheese is her favorite.
Popular Post legenddc
Good for you! We’re still working to get our kids to be better eaters. Grandma daycare for 14 months of Covid set them back. Can’t complain though as she helped us out so much.

Not to burst your bubble but all 3 of our kids would eat anything and everything at that age. They didn’t start getting picky until 2-3. Not to say they don’t still eat well, but that’s when they started forming (often unfounded) opinions about food. 2
