Popular Post Coop
We recently added on to our house which included a larger patio. Our gas meter for the last 40 years has never really bothered me until now, so I decided to make it less unsightly so I made a plant stand to cover it. The slats are Western red cedar and the rest is cypress. I treated it with Penofin. And though the pieces were rather small, I had to count them all. As in “A Day in the Life” by the Beatles, four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire. There are 112 pieces and 224 Domino tenons.
wtnhighlander
Very nice, Coop! Is there a door, or do you just move it to read the meter? Assuming the meter isn't a remote-read unit.
Coop
Yeah, I think they just drive by and read it, thanks!
curlyoak
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall. Well done Coop!
Chestnut
Nice work coop! I really like it. I see what you mean with the color but i think that with outside exposure that might age a bit and look better with time. It was you that mentioned the color not being ideal a while back right?

treeslayer
Great work @Coop ! I thought I was the only one who counted the pieces in a project, nice to know I’m in good company, and you should be good on points with Sharon, at least for a little while

It was. But even the two outdoor tables I did a couple of weeks ago have already mellowed out and no longer have that oily golden look.

gee-dub
Great way to dress up the space. I’m bookmarking this. I plan something similar to hide sprinkler valves too close to the front door area for my taste.
BillyJack
Is that legal to cover that?
