Popular Post treeslayer Posted July 3, 2016 Popular Post Report Share Posted July 3, 2016 https://www.leighjigs.com/gallery.php?pid=1 woot woot ! i hate to ring my own bell but Leigh has put one of my projects on their web site, take a look if you like, its on the bottom of the page but take a look at much better woodworking from the top of the page down to me. its a bible stand in red oak as per customer request and it is in the main library of Clarke University in Dubuque Iowa. the bottom case drawers holds the seven volumes of a rare St. Johns bible and they are huge and absolutely beautiful. the top, main stand, is a display case for one on the volumes to be read and opens up to turn the pages or change to a different volume, thanks for looking guys ok its under dovetail joint photo gallery and then to through dovetails, i apparently haven't learned to post a link properly yet, sorry Moderator Edit: here's a link to the page 9 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

treeslayer Posted July 3, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 3, 2016 thanks everyone and Shane i'm about 25 years away from a cover of FWW. those bibles are impressive works of art, each one takes monks (in Michigan i think) about 6 months to complete just one, all done by hand, leather bound and illustrated in gold leaf by hand. each set has 7 volumes and there are only 100 sets being produced.
