RichardA
I built a casket in mine. Took up to much room and to much of my life. A boat would be easy. 1

Ron Swanson Jr.
You know, it's ok to be proud of your shop. You put this nice tour together and then said something negative at almost every stop! Give yourself a break man!
Coop
He knows it’s purty! He’s put in a lot of labor and love on this shop!
Popular Post bleedinblue
Holy smokes. I came here to steal a couple old pictures of the shop that I THOUGHT was pretty much unchanged since I posted this thread. More is different now than is the same...the Hammer, the Roubo, the bandsaw... I intend on a good cleaning after the dining chairs are done, then I need to update this for sure.
BillyJack
Never hurts to update. Many shops are started and sold off as their interest changes.
Popular Post bleedinblue
I just did a post-project shop cleaning, it's the cleanest now it will be for the foreseeable future. Good as time as any to post some updated pictures. It's probably a great idea to keep updated pictures for insurance anyway, so this is dual purpose. The shop is certainly not as tidy as it was when I first started this thread. The machines have grown and floor space shrunk. So it goes. For dust collection, I added a short run of ducting. I may have posted that here at some point? I'm not sure. I swapped that metal cyclone for the Dust Deputy. The DD doesn't clog nearly as much, it's the better option. The miter saw that I said I would replace with another non-slider when it died, did in fact, die. Replaced with a non-slider Dewalt. I'm just as satisfied. I still haven't finished the cabinet it sits on The Craftsman bandsaw got kicked to the curb for the Rikon 10-326. I ditched the Ridgid jointer and Dewalt lunchbox planer for the Hammer. I ditched the bench top drill press for the Porter Cable that I found on marketplace for a steal. I built a Roubo. The old primary workbench became my outfeed table. I added a big ol metal tool chest. Amazing quality from HF. I added some various hand tools and a bunch of Dubuque clamps. Love those clamps. The mini-work bench was for my 6 year old daughter, who bugged me for one. I knew she wouldn't use it much so I wanted something quality enough that I could find I use for occasionally. Sjborgs to the rescue. That it? I think that's it.

pkinneb
Looks like a great space and tool set up!! You have definitely upped your tool game since your first shop post. Great job on the Roubo too! On a side note if one of my kids blesses us with a grandchild they had better be prepared I will now be adding that way to cool workbench to the grandchild file LOL

Chestnut
Awesome space. I feel like I could walk into your shop and easily find everything i need to make a project. That little bench is awesome.
Chet
Nice looking space. I remember you wrestling the Hammer into the shop from up above.
legenddc
Shop is coming along quite nicely! I've been debating on adding one of those tool boxes to my shop as a quick storage win. Those chairs you posted up on Facebook look like they came out really well!

A 3rd vote for the HF tool chests. I bought two on sale a few years ago. It's HF, so both had minor issues that were of no consequence to me.
Tom King
No issues with my HF tool cabinets. The only thing I wish they had differently would be soft close drawer slides. My Husky cabinet has nice soft close drawers that I can count on closing as I shove them in the closed direction and walk away. The HF ones I have to push the drawer all the way closed. It's only a split second difference, but I'd like it better. I've been meaning to change the upper toolbox so you don't have to raise the lid to open a drawer, but haven't taken the time yet. They're still well worth what they cost though, and are available in more configurations than the comparable mid range Husky tool chests.
Popular Post gee-dub
Found a picture. This is essentially what I was going to build anyway. The overhead cabinet is a scrounge from an old laundry room at a previous house. Sometimes I have to balance my time between things I want to build and things I can . This let me move all my sharpening paraphernalia to one location, near the sink, with overhead storage for supplies with a really short time investment. In short, I got what I wanted for a few hundred bucks and was able to finish some wedding presents with time to spare. Worth it
Coop
Nice set up Glenn. Had this been mine, the pic would had to have been taken 30 after completion as there is no clutter on top.

That is the kind of shop that I would walk into in the morning even if I didn't have something on the bench. I would just stand there, coffee in hand and enjoy the possibilities. I'm not antisocial but there are times when we have a large gathering at the house that I will sneak off to the shop and just breathe it in for a few for the calming effect . Your shop definitely has that kind of vibe. Congrats.
