legenddc
I was leaving it on only when I was working in the shop. With my awful dust collector I wear a respirator 100% of the time but would take it off when the numbers went back to normal in the shop. I guess a replacement is in order. Popular Post gee-dub
Some vinyl channel and connector strips that I will be using to mount some vinyl lattice in the BBQ area. We get a consistent breeze here and sometimes a downright wind. I am hoping to use the lattice as a "spoiler" for the wind's path that keeps messing with my grill temp consistency. Early testing indicates a positive result. Reality can sometimes prove different though

Popular Post treeslayer
Welcome to the Leather Apron Club, also known as Junto, started in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin, and yes I have one and I really like it
Coop
I guess I live too close to the border as Junto brings up a whole different meaning. Not sure what the heck I’m thinking of but I bet you’re right!
JohnG
I got the extra fine diamond wheel for my tormek. I moved a couple things around so I could have my sharpening station next to an outlet instead of needing to run an extension cord every time I use the tormek.

I have been thinking, off and on, of getting the Japanese Water Stone for my Tormek.
Popular Post Von
Found this at our local antique mall (like many things there, I question it's level of antiquity) Figure it will be a good place to stash finishes and other volatiles.
Coop
I use something similar at my company. I put a couple of 6” air vents in the sides and it passed the fire marshal inspection.
Popular Post Von
Bought this KAPEX off of FB marketplace for $350. Current owner got it as part of an auction lot he bought and had no use for it. It has definitely had a hard life and is missing some accessories, but the core seems solid and so it seemed worth the gamble. Even before I've done anything besides some quick clean up, it's a pleasure to use compared to my old Delta mitre saw.
Popular Post JohnG
Took my new (old) truck to pick up a Woodtek 2hp 6”x80” horizontal/vertical belt sander I snagged in an auction. Also got a few Stanley hand planes. I bought the lot thinking there was a #4 and #8, but it turned out to be (2) #5 and a #7, which I already have both sizes.
Popular Post gee-dub
Whiteside 1" diameter, 1/4" x 1/4" slot cutter. I use these to cut box-bottom slots. My older Woodcraft bit picked up at a woodworking show is no longer made. A Finnish heavy metal CD from a European supplier. Great music for sanding. Holding my breath for a Lee Valley delivery of my birthday / Father's Day gift that is supposed to arrive shortly.
Popular Post gee-dub
I am not an easy person to buy things for when special events come along. About 15 years ago I started keeping a couple of "wish lists". One at Lee Valley. I shared these with friends and family and keep things in there from $5 to $whatever. I got a notice of "something" coming from Lee Valley. Imagine my surprise. I probably would never have bought a Domino Joinery Table for myself and that is exactly the types of things I put on my wish lists; things that I won't buy for myself
Popular Post legenddc
I realized I needed a bit ratchet for my plumbing issues. Maybe splurged a bit for this kit but it worked great. Look how much smaller the ratchet and bit are compared to the Dewalt right angle adapter. Not sure where this kit is going to live. Maybe a car or a drawer in our mail floor.

They didn't invent those little hacksaws for plumbing tasks for nothin' ya know ?
Popular Post gee-dub
OK, maybe that "wish list" thing can occasionally backfire . . . Well I certainly have enough to spread out all over the shop now. I didn't even know I had that many people who knew it was my birthday, let alone who would check the wish list !?! Obviously we touch many more lives than we are aware of. 4

The right-to-left are the ones I prefer because I am right handed and that’s the hand. I generally use to hold my pencil :-). They are inexpensive and match most every steel rule I have in my shop. If I have ever received one that does not match overall length of three or 4 feet, Leavalley has cheerfully replaced it. 1

Popular Post Von
My start at an effort to build my hand tool skills arrived yesterday - after some deliberation, I went the "buy once" route. Frankly, my knowledge about planes is small enough this way I'm sure which side the handle, err tote, the problem is one. I've also signed up at the https://www.handtoolschool.net/
