I've heard you need to double up on the plastic buckets to keep them from collapsing. Where did you get the elbows/adapters for the Dust Deputy? I have the funnel part but when I looked to buy fittings it was almost cheaper to buy a brand new kit from Oneida.

Popular Post pkinneb
I haven't been able to do any woodworking yet this year between tax season and my wife being out the use of her right arm for three months but that hasn't stopped me from picking up tools Going back to Greg Pennington's school in June and wanted my own tools this time so that I can make one Windsor rocker there and an additional one (or more) when I get home.

Tom King
That's a nice looking set of chairmaking tools. I don't think I've ever seen a new drawknife before.

Popular Post BonPacific
Not woodworking, but I got a screaming deal on this beast. Bought it for the powerhead and pole saw attachment, but this weed whacker is crazy powerful.
JohnG
I’ve been really impressed by the couple battery powered Stihl tools I have (extending hedge trimmer and extending pole saw). Considering replacing my gas string trimmer and blower with battery. And maybe a small chainsaw to compliment my 20” and 36” saws.
Popular Post Von
I picked up a second stage for my dust collector and a used WEN 3410 air cleaner from a woodworker up in Indy. Got both installed yesterday and filters ordered for the WEN. And then back to sanding, sanding, and more sanding....
Popular Post legenddc
Picked up a flex point driver for some upcoming frames. Need to order some miter track still and then spend some time in the shop when I get back.
Tom King
Those look like some BIG points. I have a couple of old Red Devils that drive small diamond shaped points.
JohnG
That Logan point driver is great. I’ve used mine a lot between frames I’ve made and swapping out photos/artwork in frames I have bought. I’ve used it from hard maple to pine and it works well on all. Tom, this point driver is specifically aimed at picture frames, not the smaller window glazing points. legenddc
They're 11/64" wide and 37/64" long. Not sure how that compares to what you're used to with windows Tom.

Glazing points are wider than long. They project around .25” into the frame, have a built in stop, and leave about .25” to support the glass until the glazing cures. They are temporary, not primary support. That is not to say they do not stay in place. They stay, but are not really needed while the glazing is still serviceable. Popular Post Tom King
I'll take a picture later. The points I use for windows are flat little diamonds. I don't use that push in type. They're too big for a lot of the old windows I work on. I have a couple of old Red Devil point drivers that shoot them in. I'm thinking they're about a quarter inch long, and less than 3/16 wide, but that's just a guess. edited to add; Looks like they're 5/16 long: https://www.dkhardware.com/5-16-universal-diamond-points-pack-1p-product-8802.html I couldn't find a video of anyone using one, but here's a guy restoring one. I have one old one that I found in my Grandfather's house, and another one I bought from an antique store. Both still work. The points come in stacks that are dropped in the front by retracting that spring loaded U-shaped feeder.
