Coop
I have sandpaper stacked and laying everywhere. No organization what-so-ever, not that I'm known for being organized. For those that have their act together better than I do, would you post pics of how you store your sheets and discs?
Cliff
I don't have pics, but been thinking of a strip of wood with dowels that come out in 3 paces to hold ROS paper. So all grits would be side by side. To put a sheet of paper on the sander, you just push it onto the dowels and it sticks. This is the best idea I've seen so far (not mine)
shaneymack
You know I have only one solution for that.....systainers baby !! Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk
Brendon_t
Ken, here is my solution. I use a 1/4" plywood spacer with 120,180,220 written on it. I have about 400 pieces in there.
Ronn W
I don't use discs, but here is what I have.

..Kev
Here's what I do for the sheet goods. The disc stuff lives in its original box (all FT) in the middle drawer below...

For larger sheets, I have them in an empty systainer.
Jim DaddyO
I went to the dollar store and got a port a file holder with 13 sections in it. I have a slot for each grade 80 - 2000. Cost me about $5.
davewyo
I use a small file box: http://
Tom King
One of the large boxes has sleeves of sheets along with sponges and hand blocks, and one of the small boxes has disks. There is a dedicated small box for the Sand-O-Flex drill and all the inserts that go in the head. They keep really well over years in the airtight, and watertight boxes. edited to add: I knew I was forgetting something. Sanding belts are in the boxes with the belt sanders. Each one gets its own box.

Surprisingly, all my full sheets of sandpaper are just in a drawer -no systainer ! Sent from my SM-N910W8 using Tapatalk

wtnhighlander
I use a file folder for sheets, same as Pug. My ROS disks need better organization. I don't keep extra belts on hand, because they tend to "age out" before I need them. Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
Chestnut
I use this for 1/4 sheet pieces but the full sheets i just have in a cabinet stacked in their original package. When i run low on 1/4 sheets i just tear a bunch more. When i get a disc sander I'll do the same for the discs.
Popular Post gee-dub
I keep my sheets in one of these.. I keep bulk paper in the drum sander stand drawers. I use very few discs and so keep them in one of these do-jobbers in a cabinet with the ROS. Spindles store in the spindle sander base drawers. Large belts store on the side of a cabinet. And you know those little scraps that you get off your sanding blocks? I even have something like chestnut's fixture, only smaller, for those. One thing I have learned about finding places to put things . . . I thought I was out of space a dozen times and found yet more space by doing a little bit of re-org each time. I may have finally really run out of space as I don't even look at tool catalogs lately. I should turn in my man-card ;-(

From what I can see, it's got w oak, walnut, h/s maple, cherry, ppl heart, padeuk, ash and canary wood.
