Pondhockey
What a great idea, Richard; do you think building stuff helps provide a bit of normalcy?
RichardA
I have no clue as to what normal is. I've been an outlier my whole life. I do think, that constructing something from the thoughts you have in your head is normal. At least for me it's normal. I've never worked off plans. I have to much fun trying to figure out how to make something, then just doing it.

I'm calling it a white tail, but we have both in this area.
Bankstick
Ears look too large for a WT. He will disappear on the first day of hunting season. No matter what he is, that is a nice buck and a great photo opportunity. Thanks for sharing.
SawDustB
I finished up a couple of quick laptop stands this evening. They're made from a pine 1x10 with purple heart splines. Everybody's favorite wood combo! I did put shellac on in case I decide to paint them. It was a good opportunity to try having the grain wrap around the miters.

Popular Post Chestnut
I'm working on a project Journal to come. Yesterday i finished prepped the whole thing with my #4s and only used sandpaper to touch up the end grain. This went very well and i see my sand paper use decreasing.
Pondhockey
I think that's supercool, Chestnut, and an inspiration. I've acquired equipment from two different folks that gave up woodworking from lung issues, so I'm impressed by techniques that create less dust (or are really good at collecting the dust.) Coop
I’d be dragging at any age ! This is for heat for your home? Gotta remember, I’m from the south where winter hardly ever gets below freezing. We’d be using a fraction of that for grilling in Jan.
