Pondhockey
Good chuckle. But we've heard enough about your sweetheart to know better.
drzaius
Actually, this was last night. My wife & I took our 13 YO grand daughter to here first rock concert. The main act was 'Walk Off the Earth'. They're a Canadian indie-pop/rock band of tremendous talent. The girl had a fantastic time & so did we.

My kids still talk about the first concert we went to at the red rocks amphitheater when they were about that age. I can't even remember who it was but I remember the rest of the night vividly
drzaius
This was at the Calgary Stampede. They have an outdoor stage & have about 5 shows a day. Most of the day acts are newer & lesser known, but the evening bands are established & top notch. Some of the best concerts I've ever been to were at the Coca Cola stage. They are all free once you pay admission to the Stampede grounds. Friday night Elle King played. If you don't know who she is, you should find out. Such a talented, funny, and brilliant performer.
Popular Post Klappco
Setting up for the Coeur d’Alene KCBS contest. Just trimmed the briskets. They go on at about 10:30 tonight, along with the pork butts. Turn in at mid day tomorrow. 96 degrees in the shade and a ton of bees.

My cooking partner’s nickname is Rhino. A friend who is a comic book artist designed the logo for us. We may be the only BBQ team sponsored by a comic book company. What a coincidence. My wife & grand daughter are the bigger fans, but I've seen WOTE twice & thoroughly enjoyed the shows. Coarse, doing it with folks I love is what really makes it great.

You trim it so it is almost off but still connected, then smoke it like that so it gets bark all around.

Klappco
Now back in the shop tomorrow. Some organization planned, then a couple of jigs to build. Gotta build a table saw sled and a circle jig for the band saw.

Klappco
Made my first jig for the new bandsaw. Circle jig as I had to make a 8.75” radius circle of thin hardwood for a surround for a bathroom fan. Worked pretty well. Cut out the interior with the jigsaw. Celebrated with some Chile Lime Agave-Glazed wings.
Coop
Tell us later how you made that cut. Tell us now about the recipe for those chicken parts. No, seriously!
lewisc
Yeah, we're gonna need that recipe.
Klappco
Brine the wings for a couple of hours. Then rinse and rub down with vegetable oil. Then the Oakridge Chile Lime Rub. On the grill at about 500 degrees direct to char the skins. Then move to indirect to finish. I brushed with some Agave about five minutes before pulling them. The indirect cooking on the kettle.
Popular Post wtnhighlander
Tried "power carving" a monogram for a personalized cutting board. No competition for Dave's Cabriole Thing, but I thought it came out decent. Here it is, slathered in the first coat of mineral oil. Anyone else look this incredibly awesome in the shop? Sorry, ladies. I'm very happliy married! 2
