The biggest risk is to be distracted and forget that it is temporary. Mark your calendar...

Oh it's permanent. It's going to do a great job at keeping out rabbits, leaves, snow, and rain.

I just got back from the dentist and got my stitches removed from my gum graft two weeks ago. I can finally eat real food again, not just soft things. Still can't eat super crunchy things or brush the right half of my mouth for at least another two weeks but it's progress. I can now talk normally and exercise.

Had something similar, but more minor, this afternoon; a rear tooth was too shallow for a cap to stay affixed, so had some gum cut/scraped away from the tooth, wasn't technically a graft though.  Lidocaine is just starting to wear off, here we go....  :(

Not sure if you mentioned, what was the driving cause for this if you don't mind sharing? I hope it wasn't gum recession cause my dentist keeps commenting on my gum recession.

Hate to break it to you, but that's what it was. I had this surgery on one spot in my mouth 13 years ago and don't remember it being bad. I think because this time it was the right half of my mouth by the molars both top and bottom it was worse. Have to get the left side done at some point in the future.

My periodontist recommended 2 days of liquid only, then 2 weeks of soft foods. I've had a lot of protein shakes, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes and ice cream. I would have had soup but it was 100* here and that just didn't seem right. No straws while the stitches are in. My face was super swollen for the first 3 days. I might not have slept with my head elevated enough the first night. Only pain meds I was on was 800mg ibuprofen for a few days.

Finally I put on some of the Sevin powder that I think Coop recommended years ago for hornets.

Sevin is good stuff.  My dad used it all the time for issues in our garden.

I've also read about using diatomaceous earth as a solution for many insects - at least those with an exoskeleton.  To them, it's like razor bladed.  Interesting stuff.  https://todayshomeowner.com/pest-control/guides/diatomaceous-earth-for-ants-complete-diy-guide/

Yup. School here starts next week for students. A full 2 weeks earlier than I ever went to school in the same county.

Feel like I've been playing, and losing, at whack-a-mole here. Things keep popping up and breaking at an increasingly fast rate.

Finally fixed the part of our basement floor I had pulled up a few months ago when my wife accidentally flooded the basement with the washing machine. Reinstalled the trim and filled the holes. Still need to sand the nail holes and repaint it.

My passenger rear door handle broke yesterday. Kids get out that side at school drop off. Parts and trim puller tools have been ordered and will be here Saturday.

Still waiting on the parts to fix my wife's car.

Ants are back outside and going onto the crepe myrtle again. I will cut back the liriope tonight to help me figure out where they're coming from and pick up some of the diatomaceous earth.

Man, school seems to start earlier and earlier.   What ever happened to the Tuesday after Labor Day.

My state counts days, MI counts hours. That allows MI to keep the traditional LD to MD schedule. We cannot get the required 180 days in, and avoid going past MD, without starting this early. The perk is some decent length breaks through the year.

Looks good Paul. You got the smoke tube crankin', too. What kind of pellet smoker is that?

Absolutely IMHO its a game changer in an electric pellet smoker. The smoker is a Pit Boss Pro Series vertical (PBV4PS2) I've had it for several years and really like it. I had a propane vertical prior to this one.

I have both a Louisiana Grill, and a Z Grill. Both pellet grills. I really like the Z Grill.
