Never new what I was missing, really nice to listen to music while I work I have these as well and really like them especially during milling and also mowing the yard. I have to say I didn't even know you could get a call on them LOL. Thanks I learned something new today :)

legenddc
You can use the 3M worktunes with bluetooth to take a call too. And if you have a TV in the shop you might be able to hook it up to that depending on your streaming device. I listened to a lot of TV while sanding some really uneven large flat surfaces.
Mark J
I can drive and listen to music, but that's pretty much the limit for me and multitasking.
BillyJack
Re threaded 332 stripped screws on a PC sander. Put back together and I needed a new belt. Had to order from Amazon. Had a H&L pad sitting in the drawer time to put it to work. Just gota wait on Amazon..

Popular Post Tom King
Sanded one of two garage doors to be refinished. 16 mph wind on the lake got accelerated at the top of the hill where I was working, so any dust the vacuum didn't get left quickly downwind. I'm going to do the other one tomorrow, and spray them with something Monday, or Tuesday, while we have a few warm days. I want something that will be easy to sand off, rather than last the longest, which is hard to sand off. I think I can get the job down to a one day job with the right finish. It took about 3-1/2 to 4 hours to do this first door, but I think I can get that down. The top section was really difficult to sand to bare wood, and the bottom two sections had another couple of coats of something tough added on top of whatever was on them. The third and fourth panels took about 15 minutes each to prep. Around the panels was done with a Sand-O-Flex, but it couldn't do anything with the varnish on those two bottom panels, so I had to scrape those-forgot to take more pictures. From the bolts out is not seen-behind the stops. I'm not expecting to finish them like a piece of furniture. Just don't want them to look too junky, but they're the first thing anyone sees when they drive up to that house. We've been calling that "the rental house", but today a friend suggested we call it our Guest House. I told her that sounded a little snooty, but she said she didn't think so. So we're going to start calling it the guest house.
Popular Post pkinneb
Picked up a piece of 1/4" MDF from @Chestnut since I couldn't find it locally. Tomorrow I will start on the templates for the Morley bar stools after I finish my L Fence. Thanks Drew I owe you one!
Popular Post pkinneb
Got most of my L fence attachment for a TS Aux Fence I made a while back completed. I would have finished but I didn't realize the 5/16 in router bit I bought was not a 1/4 or 1/2" shank but rather 5/16" I honestly didn't know such a thing existed but have now ordered a 5/16 collet for my router so I can finish. Next up I will be mixing up some ebonizing solution for my #1 chair as well as the Morley bar stools I am getting ready to start, it needs a couple weeks to do its thing. In the mean time I will knock out the templates for the bar stools.
JohnG
Your L fence is a lot fancier than mine! They are really nice to have.
Chestnut
That is a fancy L fence. Mine is just a board with holes drilled in it to accept table saw fence clamps....
Tom King
Started on the other garage door this morning. Set up ready to go to work. Supplied air, 6" ROS, Sand-O-Flex rig, scraper stuff.
Tom King
Little wind off the lake today, but still a light breeze by the time it gets to the top of this hill. Takes a lot of tools to do anything. That strange little compressor supplies the supplied air.

Tom King
I keep a bunch of these containers in the mechanic shop for when I take something apart. Hinges get left on one side until I'm ready to take the next section down. It's no exaggeration to say that it only takes ten minutes to take a garage door down, or put it back up. A section stays in place until I'm ready for it.
Tom King
The top sections were the worst. This one took an hour and a half. The next one down only took a half hour. Those top sections are always in the shade, and well protected under the 19" thick wall/jamb. They can lay in the back of the garage until the Total Boat Halcyon gets here, and the next suitable day comes for spraying. After this season, I'm going to remove that awful linoleum tile, and put an epoxy floor down-not enough time this year. I still have a lot to do down the hill on the point.
Tom King
I splurged on a 15 buck sandpaper cutter for the sandpaper toolbox, and it was money well spent in lessening the aggravation load on this one job. It works like a charm. I just lay the block on it to get the amount I want, move the block, and it tears it perfectly.
Tom King
On the next to the last section, the shaft to the old Sand-O-Flex broke. I can't find a replacement shaft, so I'll have to machine one, but won't take time for that now. I'll scrape the last section molded parts tomorrow.
Popular Post Coop
My wife and I went to Lake Charles LA for the night to see a one armed buddy of hers and a black jack friend of mine. It was not my initial intent but, Louisiana’s faltering economy is now in a little bit better shape, after we left! 6

legenddc
Started pulling up some molding and some of our flooring before the big demo day on Sunday. Just wanted to confirm it wasn't nailed down, which it only seemed to be under the molding. Need to figure out the correct way to run that wire you see in the corner by the cabinet. There is a 100% chance I hit it with a nail when reinstalling the molding.
