bleedinblue
Carpet on stairs is a realll bad idea. I took a tumble this afternoon, sliding about half way down the stair case on my back with my daughter on my chest. I'm going to be sore tomorrow, I don't heal like I used to!

Sorry about the bruises --of course now your daughter wants to "go for another stair ride Daddy". On 2/27/2017 at 9:23 PM, wdwerker said: I was just a kid when Neil made those first steps. Been a fan ever since. Totally disappointed in the directions NASA has turned. Thus an instant Space X fan ! Totally agree. I remember watching those launches, waiting for hours through the count down holds, the excitement of the launch and watching the missions unfold. I remember that night in July when the a small step became a giant leap. The Apollo/Gemini/Mercury program was the 8th wonder of the world, and frankly it totally eclipses the pyramids.
Popular Post wdwerker
I see some comparisons. Didn't the Egyptians quit building pyramids after the Great Pyramid ? And didn't their civilization decline afterwards ? So we made it to the moon ..... and here we are....

Only time I have *knocks on wood* broken a bone, was slipping on carpeted stairs. My pinky toe brushed up on the baseboard and dragged enough to shear the bone at about 60* towards me and 35* towards the next toe. Same set of stairs, a few years prior, my cat tripped me (in revenge for stepping on her a few weeks prior) at the top and I slid the whole way down, face first, getting rug burn down my whole right upper arm. Couldn't wear sleeves for a few days
bleedinblue
And this has gone bad. When baby woke up thismorning she still wasn't acting right so I took off and took her to the pediatrician. She has a "buckle fracture" of a tibia. . Going to the orthopedic this afternoon. I thought during the fall I tucked her in close enough to keep her from getting hurt, I guess not. bleedinblue
She'll be OK. It's a minor fracture and the orthopedic doctor wasn't too concerned. She's in a cast for four weeks though. The doc says the cast will alleviate most of the pain, it's all about her learning to get around now. Thanks guys.
