estesbubba
Not sexy but functional. It will be nice not having all this in drawers and easier to access. 1
RichardA
Is your bench close to that wall? I had my hand tools close to my bench, but in 5 different cabinets. Now they're all in one and a single step away from my bench.
estesbubba
Yes my bench is right along that wall.

Tpt life
Yes. Don't remember the specifics well. We sanded for mechanical and then oil primed.
Coop
Utube mentions a soap bath, then a vinegar bath, then roughing up with 220. Sherwin Williams recommends several of their products. Vinegar sounds cheaper!
Chet
I used vinegar and then a quick hit with sand paper, I think it was 180 grit. That was about ten years ago and so far so good.
wdwerker
Vinegar is for the acid to etch the fresh zinc surface instead of waiting for the weathering process to do it. I would use a Scotchbrite pad & vinegar then rinse & dry before priming and painting.
Coop
This is to replace an old trough that I bought years ago and used as an above ground fish pond. So much for not boring you ! The inside will have a rubber liner but I don't want the outside to look like a new pair of tennis shoes.
Popular Post estesbubba
Met a buddy for lunch at Jersey Mike's and the lady in front of us pulled her wallet out of her purse and a condom falls out onto the floor. She acted liked nothing happened until she realized we noticed it then was embarrassed. Luckily for her Walgreens was next door 1 2

Yeah, I never get used to it. 7 minutes ago, wdwerker said: Wow, that's some view. Are they frequent visitors or is it a special occasion? Fairly frequent visitors. They spend their time around in the wider neighborhood, stop by every three weeks or so to ravage our shrubberies.

Coop
My house, due to recent water problems, received wet carpet, lucky compared to thousands of others. We are replacing all of the carpet with tile that looks like wood. Question is, I'd like to replace the old baseboards, 3.5" with taller ones. My ceilings are 8'. Carpet butted against the baseboards and new will sit on top of the tile. Will something in the line of 5.5" look ok with the 8' ceiling? Is there a rule of thumb? I've utubed but respect your opinion more.
