I didn’t get any closer as he obviously had a “nail gun” and road rage at HD is not unheard of but after looking at the pic, the trailer didn’t serve any purpose other than carrying a couple of sheets of osb. I don’t know whether to brag that he is from Texas or hope that he’s not.

Actually it did by having the trailer they can't site him for hanging to far out past the end of the Explorer :)

Early on I carried a lot in a hatchback Escort but he definitely has me beat LOL

You reminded me I forgot to post up this one. I thought the roof was going to collapse.

Stretch wrap? Oh my lol. Reminds me of the neighbor who thought bungee cords were a good idea to tie down his sons new bunk bed to the top of his mini van ;)

Only took us a couple of hours to get it fixed enough to use it but the bruises are still there...not to mention a wife who 10 years later still brings it up lol

I'm trying to figure out what the item is.

Car roofs are a good place to carry things. I thin it's the NTHS that requires them to be strong enough to hold the weight of the car up if it flips on it's roof. This is why A pillars and B pillars have gotten so HUGE over the years. You can thank NTHS for a lot of the tech getting included on vehicles as they make it required.

Roof racks aren’t meant to hold too much weight though. Usually 150lbs.

I believe he had 4 2x10x16’ pressure treated boards on there. Maybe they were longer, I think they were hanging over the hood and behind the trunk.

:o hope they were dryer than what you find here LOL

Now that is a perfect example of wood porn.

Yep. Looking but no touching for me. He lives about 4hours away by plane.

What kind of timber is it?

I’ve been told it’s Jarrah, Marri, Redgum and Bluegum. All hard and dense Aussie timbers. I’ll grab a picture of some benches they’ve made with it tomorrow.
