Chestnut
My new years resolution is to build a cedar strip canoe. There isn't a hopes chance in .... that it'll happen but I really want one. There are so many beautiful rivers around here that I'd love to canoe down.

My chief resolve is to re-organize my shop and build shop furniture to create a more efficient space. I'm not actually going to do any of this, but I thought I should lay out what I'm going to feel most guilty about. Finish my dang basement and make some furniture 1. Morris chair 2. Make 4 or 5 Marcos Amato style bar stools for the basement bar. https://www.marcosamato.com.br/banco-barba-negra 3. Maloof rocker Ok so maybe this is being a bit overzealous but hey who knows LOL

RichardA
The footprint on those stools, aren't made for bars. They're made for pretty. Bar stools need a$$ cause they get abused or used as weapons. Don't ask me how I know.

Coop
In my younger years, I’d just be getting to the party on New Years Eve. Now, at 9:15 p.m., with a glass of warm milk, the best I can hope to do is watch the 10:00 news. Happy New Years to all!
Mark J
1999 I went to bed at 11:45 ( 'cause that's when the movie was over). I was asleep before midnight. Not any more exited about the holiday now.
Popular Post RichardA
I find it odd, that most find the new year something to celebrate. To me, we went from Tuesday to Wednesday. And the only thing I can celebrate is the fact that I woke up this morning.

For me, the biggest difference a new year makes is to be able to have to remember to write the correct year on deposit slips. I think I might have written two checks last year, so that one is not so bad any more.
wtnhighlander
For me, the new year just means I have to go back to work tomorrow. 1
JohnG
For me it means crunch time. Year end financials and reports, 1099s and 1096s, property tax filings, begin income tax prep. Then I get to figure out how much catching up I have to do on my Q4 estimated tax payments.
Chestnut
Awesome technique for door hinges that are different from what most hinge companies could provide. Thought someone here might like to find this. I might also reference it in the future.

I think that was their 37th. I honestly have no idea how their program has been as successful as it has been. This is our 3rd head coach in 10 years. A good number of the players are from small farming towns that only have 9 man programs and college is their first exposure to playing 11 man ball.
