Popular Post legenddc
Whew, I've been busy these last couple weeks. Forgot to take a picture of everything done but all the doors in our house are done (finally). Had to wait for the new flooring (done in March) to do the last couple. Last night I finally finished the last remaining pieces of baseboard/molding that I had stopped working on back in April. Which means, I'm free to start back work on the TV stand I had to stop working on back in March before our floors were installed. Can't wait to get back to that!

Be careful you don't want to have a set back in your rehab because you over did it.

BillyJack
Swelling goes down at night , back up by afternoon. Doctor did not say stay off of it. it’s been about three years since I wanted back in the shop full time. Hard to stay out now.. Over the winter I wanted to get a sign made for exterior house painting. Something I wouldn’t mind doing for extra money
Popular Post gee-dub
I have been doing a few other things but my life seems to mostly be occupied in cutting out parts for 3 more chairs. I wish I'd never shown LOML that Kitchissippi 5
BillyJack
Went to Walmart for groceries last night and thought I’d get another spray can of Miniwax poly. Of course they were out. Guess I’ll have to try another place.

Still house painting but the house is usually vacant so there's no residents in the way.

wtnhighlander
Chips are looking pretty good! I haven't tried that in a good while, but remember the repetitive patterns becoming very satisfying as my execution improved with practice. I'd be starting all over again, now.
legenddc
Looks pretty good from here. I imagine by the time you finish 3 rows you're technique has improved quite a bit. Got a decent bit of work done yesterday on my tv stand doors. Was trying to get it done before we leave on Wednesday but the real world is getting in the way.

Have you signed up for some online carving instruction or are you just figuring it out by trial and error?

Popular Post wtnhighlander
This unfortunate mess is what happens when one forgets that last year, he promised is octogenarian mother a lawn decoration for THIS Christmas... My wife remembered a few days ago, and I scrambled to throw this together. An unusual cold snap made it impossible to paint before today. No, this isn't Hallowe'en decor gone awry, the back side is black to avoid notice. The show side will be painted white tomorrow, I hope.

Popular Post Tom King
Spent the morning fixing fences. It was perfect weather in the mid 50's, and quite an enjoyable time. The horses followed me along and watched closely as if they were very interested. I would drive the truck to the next spot that needed attention, and they would follow right behind the truck. As I took an old board off that needed to be replaced, they stick their heads through to taste the grass on the other side of the fence. They weren't a bit of help holding the new boards though. 2
