Mark J
Cool video. And they did get it finished. My wife and I saw the ship at the Mystic Seaport Museum when it made a port of call in 2016.

Chet
Lots of folks out there think that woodworking is buying all the latest greatest tools and that will make them a great woodworker. Then loose interest because they don't know what to do or how to use them or were the start.
pkinneb
I'm a little surprised that its still that clean with our humidity he either took care of it all these years or that's a picture from when he got it.
lewisc
These popped up for sale. I’m a little speechless. Even my wife had nothing but laughter and she loves this type of junk. For $60, they could be mine. It’s tempting.

Coop
Anyone have a close guess as to how much work time I have with West Systems 105 Resin and 206 hardener?
lewisc
Mix it in a shallow container and you'll reduce the chance of a reaction. I was using a different brand of (thick) epoxy the other day and it was with a fast hardener. The instructions said a 15min working time with a 100g pot. I mixed up that amount but on a piece of ply and it was still workable an hour later.

Nice for working on larger pieces that are impractical to bring to a drill press.
wdwerker
Is that the one " Big Gator " makes ? The other side of mine has a "Vee" groove which makes it handy for drilling into the side of pipes & dowels.

Coop
Thanks Steve. It looked much taller than that.
wdwerker
You clamp it in place and it is tall enough to keep the bit nice and straight. If you center punch the location & draw a line it’s easy to align the hash marks before clamping it in place. 1
