Popular Post Coop
I just found out that I am my own go to IT guy! Friggin scary, I know. I bought one of those wireless speaker things that operate off of my iPad. First step was to get the Amazon Prime Music app on my iPad. That went without a hitch. Then I had to “pair” the speaker with the iPad. That took some doings but I’m still self supportive, so far. After locating some decent classic 60’s stuff, I clicked on something and the neighbors lights 4 houses down came on. There was no knob on the speaker so I took it inside and found a volume button. All of this without making the first call to my grandkids. 2
treeslayer
Way to go Coop I’ve got a Bluetooth speaker in the shop, I like it but sometimes it won’t pair up with the computer inside the house and I have to fiddle with it to get it to work, but I love listening to commercial free music while I’m working, but truth be told the daughter helped me set it up
Popular Post Coop
This stuff is cool! I just found out that my neighbor next door doesn’t care for ZZ Top cranked up. Hopefully he comes around. 2
legenddc
How close are you to your neighbor? My neighbor nextdoor to my townhouse has never complained about me running tools in our basement. Claims she can't even hear them. I hope she never moves. I've checked with the closest neighbor a couple of times & he can hear it on occasion, but has no complaints.
Chestnut
This is the nice part of a basement shop. Not much sound gets out. Though my neighbors aren't very close any way.
RichardA
I'm lucky, I live in the boonies, and no matter how loud I turn up my tunes, no one can hear it except a few cows. And they haven't complained......Yet!

Try some SRV. Everyone likes SRV! 3
Coop
SRV is definately good. I enjoy most music from early country to most of the latest stuff but my favorite is the 60’s & early 70’s classic rock. The more recent stuff to me is mostly background music as I don’t understand the words, probably due to age and hearing. The exception is the rap stuff and I despise that crap and can’t believe it sells at all. To each his own.
Popular Post Mick S
I went to Texas Tech in Lubbock back in the '70s. Bartended through most of my time there at a place that was THE place to go for young professionals at the time. My roommate was the other bartender. He liked to throw dice, so after we shut down the bar we'd go to this little after hours place across town. On a couple of occasions when SRV was playing a gig in town he'd show up and play until dawn. Wow! What a talent.

Chestnut
Made a ton of 8mm loose tennon stock for the domino. I had a bunch of scraps that i needed to do something with, figured this was better than burning. I'm gonna need to permanently attach my 8mm cutter in place to try and eliminate this stack. Did this to procrastinate running electrical for the new planer because .... reasons.
Popular Post wtnhighlander
I laid several square feet of PT pine decking today. Can anyone tell me if this is OCD? Yes, I realize the router bit is getting dull....

Popular Post Chet
I had a neighbor that got me into trap shooting a number of years back. My first time out I got 20 out of 25 birds ... I never and I mean never came close to that again ... took up woodworking. 2
Bankstick
Shot trap for a while. Doubles were extremely difficult for me. pkinneb, that is an accomplishment! Chet, with that score, you should have kept going and improving. Trap shooters get $$$ and skeet shooters get trophies, unless they are in the Calcutta which is a type of auction, betting on the winner. treeslayer
Nice score Drew, looks like some nice figure in those boards, I’m sure you’ll do it justice, any plans for it or just for stock to have?

Some of the shorts in the stack have some really good figure in them. The guy was saving them for chair seat blanks. The lengths are perfect for those game boards i make and people have been requesting them in walnut.
Popular Post Chip Sawdust
Today I sorted through some maple for my desk that I’ll be starting as soon as all the little projects in between get done. Stairs for the little dog, work on one of the cars and the truck, and whatever else Moma wants, then it’s my own desk for me I've chosen a curved front desk (Taunton plan), and have already started thinking about the embellishments I want. Thinking about doing bellflower inlays, which I haven’t ever done yet...
