I have used my propane Masterbuilt vertical for about 5 years but I can't keep it from getting to hot and having to prop the door open with a paper clip . This one got fairly good reviews so I'm hopeful.
B1rdhunter
I've had a Rectec 700 for a couple of years now that works pretty well if I want to pay attention to it. When I feel lazy I use my Cookshack Amerique.

Popular Post legenddc
They say things happen in threes and I'm sure our first responders are wondering what the heck is going on down our street. Last Monday a roofing contractor got himself with a nail gun and had to be hoisted off the roof by paramedics with a ladder truck. He was apparently fine and back at work Tuesday. Tuesday a landscaping truck caught fire while parked and had the street shut down while firefighters put it out. No one was hurt. Last night was apparently my turn. While working on redoing the doors I was hitting the trim off of a door in our basement. The room is unfinished on one side and has always been a tool room/workshop since it's about 5'x10'. The cheap door trim was moving so I decided to shoot some nails through the jamb so the whole thing didn't fall down. I'm banging away at the top door stop trim and all of the sudden things are falling down on my head. Apparently one of the previous owners had placed a box of 22s on top of the door trim which subsequently fell behind it. I climbed up and realized I had hit the case with an 18 gauge nail. After getting it down I realized I hit the tip of a bullet with a nail. There was about 1/4" of nail in the bullet. Thankfully I chose the shorter nails after debating what size. The police were kind enough to come pick it up last night. 2
Mark J
Don't know whether to go with the laughing face or the sad face. Good thing none of those were set off.
Chestnut
Should have chucked it on ebay.... that's like $100 in ammo right now...
legenddc
If I didn't shoot a nail into it I would have given it to a neighbor or at least locked it up and asked a couple of friends if they wanted it. Could have used some extra money for booze to calm my nerves after that.
Tpt life
At least you shot the nail into the right end. Also, without a chamber, those fire off with little affect at all.

Popular Post pkinneb
Pretty much finished the scraper plane that I started a couple years ago. Immortan D
Nice plane! I wonder, is that plane a substitute for card scrapers? Or it is something completely different?
Gary Beasley
Started work on repairing my Fleetwood Evolution 2 camper, starting with the hauling deck. It was built with osb covered in a plastic coating on top that was bolted onto the frame. Unfortunately they cheaped out and only covered the top of the osb so moisture got in and rotted the ends off under the plastic. Another really annoying thing is the size is six inches wider than a four by eight plywood sheet so I had to buy two sheets at $54 a pop to do the job. Then I also got a can of Deckover textured deck paint to approximate the original surface and waterproof the wood. I painted both sides of the wood for good measure. Thats all drying in the basement now, may put another couple of coats on just to beef it up a bit. Next two days are supposed to be a bit rainy so I might not get much done for a bit.
Coop
Gary, I just watched a you tube video of this camper that the dealer sold for $9.5 k. That’s a neat looking camper. Keep us updated on your progress.

Hock Tools, to soon to tell need to sharpen the blade but had to run to CO to see a family friend who unfortunately has taken a turn for the worse. Will be back next week and I will let you know what I think. 12 hours ago, Immortan D said: Nice plane! I wonder, is that plane a substitute for card scrapers? I think while similar you would not want to get rid of your card scrapers but I'll let you know if that assessment changes
