Popular Post treeslayer
We should open a thread for us “old timers” to give tips to the folks who haven’t been married as long as us, like when she comes home from the salon with a purple Mohawk, how to look at her straight in the eye and say I love it, without laughing, and never criticize her driving when she can hear you and on and on….. 2
Popular Post BonPacific
9 years married (14 together) here, and for us blunt honesty has always worked better than platitudes or "yes dear"s.

Popular Post Isaac
14 years for us as of a few weeks ago. We actually track two dates. Our legal ceremony and our big formal wedding (my wife is from Hong Kong, and per tradition, the big formal wedding was in the bride's hometown, so it took a year of planning).

Popular Post legenddc
You're all making me feel young here! We're somehow already at 10 years which I have no idea how that happened so quickly.
legenddc
RIP to Taylor Hawkins. Did not expect to see that the other night. I regret not seeing the Foo Fighters sooner. I did buy tickets to see them this year but we'll see what happens. Obviously that show being cancelled isn't very important in the scheme of things.
Popular Post Jonathan McCully
My bride and I will be at 15 years of marriage this May. Met her when I was 15, started dating at 18, and got married at 23. 7 moves and 5 kids later, it has definitely not always been easy, but has always been worth it.

Chestnut
I put my snowblower away in hopes that it brings a blizzard. We didn't get enough snow up here IMO.
Coop
Is it unsafe to run a board between a dado stack and the fence? It doesn’t seem like it should be but have never seen it done before.
treeslayer
Not sure what you mean Coop, isn’t it done that way all the time or am I missing something?
Coop
In the past, I’ve attached a sacrificial fence to my fence to the right side of the blade and my board is to the left of the blade. This allows me to bury part of the blade in the sac fence if needed. Now, I need to recess a panel on the back side of a desk, into the legs and don’t want the panel exposed from the side view. My thought was to raise the blade to the desired height and run the board thru between the fence and the blade so I can monitor the stopping point down the length of the leg. Now I’m confused! Coop
I’ll set it up tomorrow like I’m asking and take a pic.
treeslayer
I don’t know if this applies but might help, I do this all the time with no sacrificial fence, also use the mitre gauge and sled with no problem
Coop
WOW! Those are cool! So you just drop the board down onto the blade with it against the fence and you have start and stop marks or blocks? This is how I normally do it. And this is how I would like to do it.
