    • OK, I think I can top that.  Got asked to do a wellness check for a friend.  My friend is disabled and lives two hours away.  When he couldn't get in touch with his brother for a long while, he asked me to go check on him.  So, I'm already a little freaked out, because there's a non-zero probability that I'll be dealing with a dead body.   Front door was locked and my key didn't work, so I tried the back door, which wasn't locked.  The back door leads to the unfinished basement, and and it's full of fast food wrappers and containers.  Waist high.  Knee high in the "pathways".  I wade into it and find the stairs leading upwards.  It looks like it's even worse upstairs.  I go outside to regroup, and I'm met by two police officers. Seems the neighbor noticed some stranger "breaking into" the empty house and called the cops.  I made sure my hands were empty and in sight, and explained why I was there.  The cops explained that my friend's brother had died a couple weeks ago. That was a rough day.
    • Looks great Paul. Are you going to put lattice under the deck? I noticed that you had some under the spa deck. Thinking about it more, that's probably just to keep little critters corralled.
    • I would have included a "hazardous duty" upcharge in the quote and a fee for an updated Tetanus shot.
    • Well I didn't finish but got all the facia installed on the deck and bar. Just need to put the plugs in and install the last few sections of railing. Hopefully this week... Oh and I may paint the posts black like I did on the bar becuase that is going to bug me when I mow LOL
    • I got a call to do a quote for some electrical work in a house that was every bit as bad as anything I've seen on a Hoarders show. every room, nook, hallway and everywhere else was stacked from floor to well above head height with junk. I could hardly get around in there. The woman confessed to me that she knew she had a serious problem, but was unable to do anything about it. Sad, really. I didn't get the job, thankfully.
