Finished slabbing the first of two logs on Sunday.
First up cut a 1" slice to make some stickers
Then final sliced them at the BS
Then back to milling. There was some rot in this one so I added an extra 4 1/2" slab as I want to insure I have enough 4" material for a four poster bed to go with the bedroom set I finished (well almost) 20 years ago
The next log will all be 2 1/4" slabs. Still need to strap it and will put tin over the top once the second log is slabbed up. While sunny now once the trees gets their leaves this is actually a shady spot.
Thanks for sharing I hadn't seen that yet! It appears it is a new offering from PantoRouter.
FWIW the PantoRouter is one of my favorite tools and I would put on the short list of must haves after the basics TS, jointer, planer, BS, and DP.
This one sold via the MN Woodworkers Guild Site - Classified ad. I had several contacts via FB marketplace but no serious buying conversations there. Full disclosure I had it priced at $3,500 on FB Marketplace and $3,100 on the guild and here. I got $3,100 which given the cost of my new one $6,800 is a pretty good deal for both the buyer and me as I paid $3,300 for the machine when I purchased it new 20 years ago.
I've been following Marius for several years, even before he entered University, I believe. He has always had a very inventive mind, and produces video that is informative, as well as entertaining. That video is in my 'Watch Later' queue, but my backlog has been growing long of late.
